Study: 15

Jesus Christ, Christ Jesus or Jesus the Christ is the Everlasting Name of the Living God

God is the Holy Spirit (John 4:24; 2 Corinthians 3:17; 1 Peter 1:15-16; Leviticus 11:44-45 and 19:2), by Him were all things Created both invisible and visible, of His Own Will (Genesis 1:1-31; 2:1-25; Isaiah 44:24; 66:2 and 45:12; Hebrews 1:2-13; Colossians 1:15-19; Romans 1:18-20; 2 Corinthians 4:18), and even the Wicked for the day of evil (Proverbs 16:4). He is Everlasting and is limited not by time neither space (Job 10:4-5; Isaiah 66:1; Matthew 5:34-35 and 23:22; Acts 7:49-50; Psalms 139:7-12). Wherefore, He identifies to Himself as “I AM THAT I AM” or only as “I AM” (Exodus 3:14; Isaiah 44:6-8 and 45:5; John 8:24; 8:28 and 8:58; Revelation 1:8; 1:11; 1:17-18; 2:8 and 22:13) for there is none other God neither Redeemer but Himself (Isaiah 44:3-6; 41:4; 41:14; 41:20; 41:23-24; 42:8; 43:11; 43:25; 44:22; 45:5-6; 45:14-15; 45:21-22; 46:9; 48:12; 49:26; 52:6 and 57:15; 1 John 5:20). He is Who quickens all things, upholding them by the Word of his Power (1 Timothy 6:13; Hebrews 1:3; Psalms 55:22).

As we saw above, He is not only Creator and Sustainer but the Only One Redeemer or Saviour (Psalms 3:8; 13:5; 44:4; 85:9; 116:13; 149:4; Isaiah 46:9-13), granting Everlasting Life unto every one which He did Predestinate to be His Son before the world’s foundation (Ephesians 1:3-11 and 2:8-10; Romans 8:29-30). On this wise, the Everlasting Holy Spirit had to make a Plan for Salvation, attaching Himself to every word of It. He did establish at first the Promise of Salvation or Oath unto Abraham (Romans 4:13-14; Isaiah 51:2; Genesis 22:16-18; Hebrews 6:13-14; Revelation 22:12); but His Promise to Abraham reaches also, throughout the whole time, all those who are Abraham’s same Faith, either israelites or heathens (Galatians 3:6-11; 3:25-29 and 2:11-16; Romans 4:15-25 and 8:14-17; Ephesians 3:16-17; Colossians 1:26-28). Then, because of transgressions, He added the Law (Galatians 3:17-22) in which bloodshed for forgiveness of sins is an essential requirement (Hebrews 9:22). However, this first Covenant (the Law) was a figure of Heavenly Things, and it was based upon permanent animal’s sacrifices to shed blood both for people’s ignorance sins as well as high priest’s; but these sacrifices and offerings can never make the worshippers Perfect concerning conscience of sins (Hebrews 10:1-4). In addition, people continued not in His Covenant and the Lord regarded them not (Hebrews 8:9), making a New Covenant (Jeremiah 31:31-34; Hebrews 8:8-12) that wise He has made the fist old and ready to vanish away (Hebrews 8:13). This New Covenant is based upon only one Offering, once for all (Hebrews 10:10-18; 9:24-28) by shedding the Blood of God Himself, that is the Blood of Him Who had Promised (the Testator) for He had to die, for a Testament is of Force after the Testator is dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the Testator (or Maker) lives (Hebrews 9:16-17 and 10:5-18; Psalms 40:6-8; Hosea 6:6; Ephesians 5:2; 1 Peter 3:18-22; 1:8-23; 2:9 and 2:21-24; Acts 20:28; Hebrews 9:11-15; Revelation 1:17-18 and 5:9). Wherefore the Everlasting “I AM” (or Holy Spirit) did take a Body (Isaiah 7:14; 9:6 and 53:1-12; Micah 5:2; Jeremiah 33:15-17 and 23:5-6; Hebrews 10:5; Luke 2:11-12) shedding HIS OWN BLOOD He did CONCRETE HIS PROMISED SALVATION which is the Everlasting Life ( 1 John 2:25). For this cause He is the Mediator of a New and Perfect Covenant (1 Timothy 2:3-6; Hebrews 12:24; 9:15 and 8:6; Galatians 3:19-20). So, congruously with this New Covenant did Manifest HIS MYSTERY afterward his Resurrection and Glorification (1 Timothy 3:16) as well as his UNIQUE NEW NAME (or WAY) for entering into Eternal Salvation: JESUS CHRIST (Luke 24:46-49; John 14:6 and 10:1-18), Name which nobody knows saving he that receives It (Revelation 2:17; Isaiah 52:6) and being Baptized in that Glorious and Everlasting Name of the Living God receives both Forgiveness of Sins and the Gift of the Promised Holy Spirit (Joel 2:28-29; Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-5; Matthew 3:11; Mark 1:8; John 1:33; Acts 2:1-4; 2:17-21; 2:29-35 and 2:38-39).

From the former it is possible to understand that “I AM” is the Holy Spirit Redeemer or Saviour (the Everlasting Father) Who did Concrete his Promise coming into the flesh to Expiate his People’s Sins (Matthew 1:21) by shedding his own Blood, once for all, making and END of sacrifices and offerings according to the Law (Romans 10:4; Matthew 5:17). Therefore, the Everlasting “I AM” or CHRIST (1 Corinthians 10:1-4, 1 Peter 1:10-11) dwelt into a human body which was the INSTRUMENT (or MEANS) for SALVATION (Matthew 1:21; Colossians 2:9; John 8:24; 8:28-30; 8:56-58 and 18:4-6).

Why do we must call Him Jesus Christ, Christ Jesus or Jesus the Christ rather than only Jesus or Christ?

Because if we call the Lord only Jesus , where is Christ (Holy Spirit)?, for certainly both there were and there are many men named Jesus wide world, even Sons of the Lord (Colossians 4:11) but, is any of them the Everlasting “I AM” into the flesh?, Contrariwise, if we call Him only Christ, did the Everlasting Spirit (“I AM” or CHRIST) Concrete his Promise of Salvation?, did He shed his Blood for Remission of Sins?, did He Rise again from the dead?, did He Glorify?, did He Found his Church?, is it close his coming to Rescue his Church? (let you consider: Revelation 1:8; 1:11; 1:17-18; 2:8; 22:12-13 and 22:20-21). However, He did answer (perform) the most part of former questions already, and only through water immersion Baptism, calling on HIS NAME: JESUS CHRIST, it is possible receive Remission of sins and the GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT (Acts 2:38); for there is none other Name to be Saved (Acts 4:12) that the Name which is above every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come (Philippians 2:5-11; Ephesians 1:21 and 3:14-15) for JESUS CHRIST is the SAME yesterday, and to day, and FOR EVER (Hebrews 13:8). Amen.
