Study: 13Jesus Christ, myself and my little dog
Few days ago I was thinking about God’s Word; suddenly while I was watching my litthe dog came to my mind the following question: How is compound the being of my little animal of company?. All which I can see is its body; but, is that all?, what is the difference between a dead animal and a living one?; just so, the life of the living one: that life is its soul (Job 12:10; Psalm 74:19). Therefore, my little dog has a body with its soul or life. Then, through Jesus Christ’s Spirit I thought deeper for understanding what is the difference between my own being and my little dog’s being. Let’s see first what we have in common: The body with its life or soul; but by chance, don’t I feel myself different from an animal?. Yes, at all, for I can think, so I can learn complex things like as speak, perceive God’s existence, work either Good or bad, etc. How is called such a special component of my own being which enables me to take part to those outstanding activities, in comparison with the behaviour of any animal?. It is called “spirit”, it is my spirit (1 Corinthians 2:11). When I did Meditate about this subject, I was able to explain to myselft how was compound Jesus Christ’s Being while He was into the flesh; thus I said: body, soul and Spirit; why not spirit?. Because, Jesus Christ is God, yesterday, today and eternally (Titus 2:13; Hebrews 13:8). He is not a man; however, He had a body with its life or soul when became as a man. God is Spirit (John 4:24), and He calls gods to all of us which are His Children (Psalm 82:1; Psalm 82:6; John 10:34-35); do you know why does He call us gods?. Because his Holy Spirit is received by our spirits and not our souls (Romans 8:16). My spirit itself is defining me as a human being, and itself makes me different either from God or any animal.
Biblical Support
Let you search out: Job 32:8; Job 38:36; Job 10:12; Psalm 51:10-11; Psalm 51:17; Psalm 32:2; Psalm 77:6; Psalm 143:7; Proverbs 16:19; Proverbs 16:32; Proverbs 17:27; Proverbs 29:23; Ecclesiastes 1:14; Ecclesiastes 4:4; Ecclesiastes 4:6; Ecclesiastes 7:9; Isaiah 66:2; Isaiah 38:16; Isaiah 57:15; Matthew 5:3; Luke 1:47; Acts 7:59; Romans 1:9; Romans 8:10; Romans 8:16; 1 Corinthians 2:11-12; 2 Corinthians 7:1; Galatians 6:18; 2 Timothy 4:22; Philemon 1:25.
Then, why is it written in the Bible “soul” instead spirit” so many times? The following examples are some, among many throughout the Scriptures, in which it is wrongly written “soul” instead “spirit”:
Now, how is compound my being?; it is compound by spirit, soul and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23). So if my soul is Blessing God, what about my spirit?; can an animal through its soul Bless God?. But I can through my whole being Bless his Holy Name, Jesus Christ; for my spirit which is Led by his Spirit Rules and Leads my soul and body in the Good Way (Hebrews 4:12).
Now, what is the difference between a dead body and a living one?. The difference is that a living body has its life which is the soul. Therefore, them which kill the body take away the life or soul thereof; and they are the Devil and his followers (remind Acts 7:59). Contrariwise, who is able to Destroy both soul and body in hell?; Its is God, and not exactly the soul but the spirit, for He is the Only One that has Power to Destroy the person’s spirit (Ecclesiastes 8:8; Job 34:14-15). In addition, why is it written: “and to the spirit of just men made Perfect”? (Hebrews 12:23). Is is written that way for God makes Perfect our spirits not our souls. On the other hand, the unbelievers’spirits are condemned not their souls.
What is the Importance of all expressed above? Most christians are using either “soul” or “spirit”, irrespectively, when they do refer about that human being’s component which, according to his works, shall be eternally Saved or Condemned. Perhaps, the refer that way for they have not asked themselves about the difference between a human being and any animal, as it was detailed formerly. The purpose of this Study is throw Light on this subject, in order to increase our Knowledge about our Great God and Saviour Jesus Christ. A wrong writing or speaking way leads into a spiritual Confusion, that throws Shade rather than Light on the doctrines of those who have not meditated about this subject.
