Points:
James 1:27
27
Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit
orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself
unspotted from the world.
Romans 8:14-16
14
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear,
but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba,
Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit
that we are children of God,
Galatians 3:26
26
For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
John 14:19
19
“A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will
see Me. Because I live, you will live also.
Acts 17:28
28
for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own
poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’

Shall remember and turn to the LORD,
And all the families of the nations
Shall worship before You.

ministered to Him.

talking with you.”
38 Then he said, “Lord, I believe!” And he worshiped Him.

and truth.”

elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in
sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood
of Jesus Christ:
1 Peter
1:22-23
22
Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the
Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with
a pure heart, 23 having been born again, not of corruptible
seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides
forever,
Matthew
22:37-40
37
Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your
heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38
This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the
second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the
Prophets.”
1
John 4:7-8
7
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who
loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love
does not know God, for God is love.
Job
11:4
4 For you have said,
‘My doctrine is pure,
And I am clean in your eyes.’
Job
25:2-6
2 “ Dominion and fear belong to Him;
He makes peace in His high places.
3 Is there any number to His armies?
Upon whom does His light not rise?
4 How then can man be righteous before God?
Or how can he be pure who is born of a woman?
5 If even the moon does not shine,
And the stars are not pure in His sight,
6 How much less man, who is a maggot,
And a son of man, who is a worm?”
Isaiah
1:16-18
16
“ Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean;
Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes.
Cease to do evil,
17 Learn to do good;
Seek justice,
Rebuke the oppressor;
Defend the fatherless,
Plead for the widow.
18 “ Come now, and let us reason together,”
Says the LORD,
“ Though your sins are like scarlet,
They shall be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They shall be as wool.
Ezekiel
36:25-31
25
Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will
cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. 26
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take
the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
27 I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My
statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. 28
Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall
be My people, and I will be your God. 29 I will deliver you
from all your uncleannesses. I will call for the grain and multiply it,
and bring no famine upon you. 30 And I will multiply the
fruit of your trees and the increase of your fields, so that you need
never again bear the reproach of famine among the nations. 31
Then you will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were
not good; and you will loathe yourselves in your own sight, for your
iniquities and your abominations.
Psalm
24:3-6
3 Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD?
Or who may stand in His holy place?
4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol,
Nor sworn deceitfully.
5 He shall receive blessing from the LORD,
And righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6 This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek
Him,
Who seek Your face. Selah
Psalm 51:1-13
1 Have mercy upon me, O God,
According to Your lovingkindness;
According to the multitude of Your tender mercies,
Blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
And cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I acknowledge my transgressions,
And my sin is always before me.
4 Against You, You only, have I sinned,
And done this evil in Your sight—
That You may be found just when You speak,
And blameless when You judge.
5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,
And in sin my mother conceived me.
6 Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts,
And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.
7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8 Make me hear joy and gladness,
That the bones You have broken may rejoice.
9 Hide Your face from my sins,
And blot out all my iniquities.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me away from Your presence,
And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.
13 Then I will teach transgressors Your ways,
And sinners shall be converted to You.
Psalm 119:137-144
137 Righteous are You, O LORD,
And upright are Your judgments.
138 Your testimonies, which You have commanded,
Are righteous and very faithful.
139 My zeal has consumed me,
Because my enemies have forgotten Your words.
140 Your word is very pure;
Therefore Your servant loves it.
141 I am small and despised,
Yet I do not forget Your precepts.
142 Your righteousness is an everlasting
righteousness,
And Your law is truth.
143 Trouble and anguish have overtaken me,
Yet Your commandments are my delights.
144 The righteousness of Your testimonies is
everlasting;
Give me understanding, and I shall live.
Psalm 12:6
6 The words of the LORD are pure words,
Like silver tried in a furnace of earth,
Purified seven times.
Psalm 73:1
A
Psalm of Asaph.
1 Truly God is good to Israel,
To such as are pure in heart.
Hebrews 1:1-3
1 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in
time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last
days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all
things, through whom also He made the worlds; 3 who being the
brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and
upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself
purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
1
Timothy 5:22
22
Do not lay hands on anyone hastily, nor share in other people’s sins;
keep yourself pure.
Titus
1:13-15
13
This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be
sound in the faith, 14
not giving heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men who turn from
the truth. 15 To the pure
all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving
nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled.
James 3:17-18
17
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle,
willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and
without hypocrisy. 18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown
in peace by those who make peace.
Philippians 4:8
8
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are
noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure,
whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good
report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything
praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
Ephesians 5:26-27
26
that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the
word, 27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious
church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she
should be holy and without blemish.
Acts
10:19-25
19
While Peter thought about the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Behold,
three men are seeking you. 20
Arise therefore, go down and go with them, doubting nothing; for I have
sent them.”
21 Then Peter went down
to the men who had been sent to him from Cornelius,
and said, “Yes, I am he whom you seek. For what reason have you come?”
22 And they said,
“Cornelius the centurion, a just man, one who fears God and has a
good reputation among all the nation of the Jews, was divinely
instructed by a holy angel to summon you to his house, and to hear words
from you.” 23 Then he
invited them in and lodged them.
On the next day Peter went away with them, and some brethren from Joppa
accompanied him.
24 And the
following day they entered Caesarea. Now Cornelius was waiting for them,
and had called together his relatives and close friends.
25 As Peter was coming
in, Cornelius met him and fell down at his feet and worshiped
him.
1 John 3:23

And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His
Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment.
Revelation
20:6
6
Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection.
Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of
God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.
1 John 1:6-7
6
If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie
and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light
as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the
blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
Acts 9:14

wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall
understand.
2 Corinthians 7:1
1 Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse
ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting
holiness in the fear of God.
1 Timothy 1:3-7
3
As I urged you when I went into Macedonia—remain in Ephesus that you may
charge some that they teach no other doctrine, 4 nor give
heed to fables and endless genealogies, which cause disputes rather than
godly edification which is in faith. 5 Now the purpose of the
commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience,
and from sincere faith, 6 from which some, having
strayed, have turned aside to idle talk, 7 desiring to be
teachers of the law, understanding neither what they say nor the things
which they affirm.

19:6

Peter 2:5

Hebrews 12:14

2
Timothy 4:6-8
6
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of
my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought the good fight, I
have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Finally,
there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the
righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but
also to all who have loved His appearing.

but the Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of us all. 27
For it is written:
“ Rejoice, O barren,
You who do not bear!
Break forth and shout,
You who are not in labor!
For the desolate has many more children
Than she who has a husband.”
28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are children of
promise. 29 But, as he who was born according to the flesh
then persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, even so
it is now. 30 Nevertheless what does the Scripture
say? “Cast out the bondwoman and her son, for the son of the
bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.” 31
So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman but of the free.
Romans
8:29-30
29
For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the
image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom
He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also
glorified.
Ephesians 1:3-11
3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has
blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places
in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation
of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in
love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus
Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6
to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in
the Beloved.
7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the
forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace 8
which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, 9
having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good
pleasure which He purposed in Himself, 10 that in the
dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in
one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on
earth—in Him. 11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance,
being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things
according to the counsel of His will,
2 Thessalonians 2:13

But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails

remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and
patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and
Father,
2 Thessalonians 1:11-12
11
Therefore we also pray always for you that our God would count you
worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of
His goodness and the work of faith with power, 12 that
the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in
Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
James
2:14-26
14
What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith
but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother
or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of
you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do
not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it
profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have
works, is dead.
18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.”
Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by
my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well.
Even the demons believe—and tremble! 20 But do you want to
know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was
not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son
on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together
with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? 23 And
the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it
was accounted to him for righteousness.”And he was called the
friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by
works, and not by faith only.
25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works
when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith
without works is dead also.
James 1:27
27
Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit
orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself
unspotted from the world.
1
Corinthians 2:7-16
7
But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom
which God ordained before the ages for our glory, 8 which
none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not
have crucified the Lord of glory.
9 But as it is written:
“ Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
10 But God has revealed them to us through His
Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit
of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God
except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the
spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know
the things that have been freely given to us by God.
13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s
wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual
things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not
receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to
him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually
discerned. 15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet
he himself is rightly judged by no one. 16 For “who
has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?”
But
we have the mind of Christ.

All her gates are desolate;
Her priests sigh,

For the LORD has afflicted her
Because of the multitude of her transgressions.

Hebrews

5
Let your conduct be without covetousness; be
content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I

say:
“ The LORD is my helper;
I will not fear.
What can man do to me?”
Psalm 10:14
14 But You have seen, for You observe trouble and grief,
To repay it by Your hand.
The helpless commits himself to You;
You are the helper of the fatherless.
Psalm 68:5-6
5 A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows,
Is God in His holy habitation.
6 God sets the solitary in families;
He brings out those who are bound into prosperity;
But the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
John 3:3-6
3
Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless
one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is
old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”
5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one
is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is
born of the Spirit is spirit.
1 Peter 1:3-5
3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who
according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope
through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to
an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away,
reserved in heaven for you, 5 who are kept by the power of
God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
1 Peter 1:23

having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible,
through the word of God which lives and abides forever,
Acts 2:38-39
38
Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized
in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall
receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is to
you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the
Lord our God will call.”
Acts 10:44-48
44
While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon
all those who heard the word. 45 And those of the
circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter,
because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles
also. 46 For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify
God.
Then Peter answered, 47 “Can anyone forbid water, that these
should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we
have?” 48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the
name of the Lord. Then they asked him to stay a few days.
Psalm
106:4-5
4 Remember me, O LORD, with the favor You have toward
Your people.
Oh, visit me with Your salvation,
5 That I may see the benefit of Your chosen ones,
That I may rejoice in the gladness of Your nation,
That I may glory with Your inheritance.
Luke
1:68-69
68
“ Blessed is the Lord God of Israel,
For He has visited and redeemed His people,
69 And has raised up a horn of salvation for us
In the house of His servant David,
Luke
1:78-79
78
Through the tender mercy of our God,
With which the Dayspring from on high has visited us;
79 To give light to those who sit in darkness and the
shadow of death,
To guide our feet into the way of peace.”
Acts
15:14-18
14
Simon has declared how God at the first visited the Gentiles to take out
of them a people for His name. 15 And with this the words of
the prophets agree, just as it is written:
16 ‘ After this I will return
And will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which has fallen
down;
I will rebuild its ruins,
And I will set it up;
17 So that the rest of mankind may seek the LORD,
Even all the Gentiles who are called by My name,
Says the LORD who does all these things.’
18 “Known to God from eternity are all His works.
Acts
15:36
36
Then after some days Paul said to Barnabas, “Let us now go back and
visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the
Lord, and see how they are doing.”
Hebrews 2:11-12
11
For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are
all of one, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren,
12 saying:
“ I will declare Your name to My brethren;
In the midst of the assembly I will sing praise to You.”
Luke
4:43

but He said to them, “I must preach the kingdom of God to the other
cities also, because for this purpose I have been sent.”
Acts 4:1-2
1 Now as they spoke to the people, the priests, the captain
of the temple, and the Sadducees came upon them, 2 being
greatly disturbed that they taught the people and preached in Jesus the
resurrection from the dead.
Acts 5:20
20
“Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this
life.”
Acts 8:4

Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word.
Acts 13:37-39
37
but He whom God raised up saw no corruption. 38 Therefore let
it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you
the forgiveness of sins; 39 and by Him everyone who believes
is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by
the law of Moses.
1 Corinthians 9:16-18
16
For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is
laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel! 17
For if I do this willingly, I have a reward; but if against my will, I
have been entrusted with a stewardship. 18 What is my reward
then? That when I preach the gospel, I may present the gospel of Christ
without charge, that I may not abuse my authority in the gospel.
Galatians 1:6-9
6
I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in
the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not
another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the
gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven,
preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let
him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say
again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have
received, let him be accursed.
Matthew 7:13-14
13
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is
the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is
the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
John
10:9

I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in
and out and find pasture.
John 14:6

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes
to the Father except through Me.
Deuteronomy 10:17-18
17
For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great
God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality nor takes a bribe.
18 He administers justice for the fatherless and the widow, and
loves the stranger, giving him food and clothing.
Isaiah 1:17
17
Learn to do good;
Seek justice,
Rebuke the oppressor;
Defend the fatherless,
Plead for the widow.
Deuteronomy 24:17-18
17
“You shall not pervert justice due the stranger or the fatherless, nor
take a widow’s garment as a pledge. 18 But you shall remember
that you were a slave in Egypt, and the LORD your God redeemed you from
there; therefore I command you to do this thing.
Exodus 22:22
22
“You shall not afflict any widow or fatherless child.
Deuteronomy
27:19
19
‘Cursed is the one who perverts the justice due the stranger, the
fatherless, and widow.’
“And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’
1 Timothy 5:3-16
3
Honor widows who are really widows. 4 But if any widow has
children or grandchildren, let them first learn to show piety at home
and to repay their parents; for this is good and acceptable before God.
5 Now she who is really a widow, and left alone, trusts in
God and continues in supplications and prayers night and day. 6
But she who lives in pleasure is dead while she lives. 7 And
these things command, that they may be blameless. 8 But if
anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his
household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
9 Do not let a widow under sixty years old be taken into the
number, and not unless she has been the wife of one man, 10
well reported for good works: if she has brought up children, if she has
lodged strangers, if she has washed the saints’ feet, if she has
relieved the afflicted, if she has diligently followed every good work.
11 But refuse the younger widows; for when they have
begun to grow wanton against Christ, they desire to marry, 12
having condemnation because they have cast off their first faith.
13 And besides they learn to be idle, wandering about from
house to house, and not only idle but also gossips and busybodies,
saying things which they ought not. 14 Therefore I desire
that the younger widows marry, bear children, manage the
house, give no opportunity to the adversary to speak reproachfully.
15 For some have already turned aside after Satan. 16
If any believing man or woman has widows, let them relieve them, and do
not let the church be burdened, that it may relieve those who are really
widows.
James
1:27
27
Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit
orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself
unspotted from the world.
Matthew 7:21
21
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of
heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
1 John 5:20
20
And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an
understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who
is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
Titus 2:13

looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and
Savior Jesus Christ,
John
20:28-29
28
And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”
29 Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you
have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet
have believed.”
Luke 1:30-35
30
Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found
favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb
and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS. 32 He
will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord
God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33 And He
will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there
will be no end.”
34 Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do
not know a man?”
35 And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy
Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow
you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the
Son of God.
Acts 3:19-20
19
Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so
that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, 20
and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before,[a]
Acts
26:15-18
15
So I said, ‘Who are You, Lord?’ And He said, ‘I am Jesus, whom you are
persecuting. 16 But rise and stand on your feet; for I have
appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness
both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will
yet reveal to you. 17 I will deliver you from the Jewish
people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now
send you, 18 to open their eyes, in order to
turn them from darkness to light, and from
the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and
an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’
11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance,
being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things
according to the counsel of His will,

of Jesus Christ:
Grace to you and peace be multiplied.
Acts
2:36-39
36
“Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made
this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.”
37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the
heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and
brethren, what shall we do?”
38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you
be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and
you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the
promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as
many as the Lord our God will call.”
Acts
10:44-48
44
While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon

circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter,
because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles
also. 46 For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify

Then Peter answered, 47 “Can anyone forbid water, that these

Revelation
14:9-11
9
Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone
worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his
forehead or on his hand, 10 he himself shall also drink of
the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the
cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in
the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11
And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have
no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever
receives the mark of his name.”
Revelation 13:16-17
16
He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to
receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17
and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or
the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Revelation
20:4
4
And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to
them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for
their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped
the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their
foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for
a thousand years.
Revelation 16:2
2
So the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth, and a foul and
loathsome sore came upon the men who had the mark of the beast and those
who worshiped his image.
Philippians 1:6

you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;
