Biblical Points: 5One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
29For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
5Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by
Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 11In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being
predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after
the counsel of his own will: 10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto
good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. 3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto
thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he
enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5Jesus
answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water
and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is
born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is
spirit. 7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8The
wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but
canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one
that is born of the Spirit. 38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one
of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall
receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 12Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none
other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. 11But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. 12For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. 13For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it: 14And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers. 15But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, 16To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: 17Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus. 18Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days. 19But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother. 20Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not. 21Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia; 22And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ: 23But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed. 24And they glorified God in me.
24God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in
spirit and in truth. 17Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of
the Lord is, there is liberty. 16Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
15But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy
in all manner of conversation; 16Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I
am holy. 1And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. 5And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. 6Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. 7And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? 8And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? 9Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, 10Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, 11Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God. 12And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this? 13Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine. 14But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: 15For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. 16But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; 17And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: 18And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: 19And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: 20The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come: 21And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. 22Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: 23Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: 24Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it. 25For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved: 26Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope: 27Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. 28Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance. 29Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. 30Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; 31He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. 32This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. 33Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. 34For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, 35Until I make thy foes thy footstool. 36Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. 37Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
5For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day
until now; 6Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a
good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: 13Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have
commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the
world. Amen. 20Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of
any private interpretation. 14For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the
sons of God. 15For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to
fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba,
Father. 16The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are
the children of God: 12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world,
but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are
freely given to us of God. 16All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is
profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
righteousness: 17That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished
unto all good works. 21For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man:
but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. 6I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called
you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7Which is not another;
but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of
Christ. 8But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel
unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel
unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. 14But the natural man receiveth not the things of
the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know
them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15But he that is spiritual
judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16For who hath
known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind
of Christ. 7Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you
that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto
you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. 8And when he is come, he
will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9Of
sin, because they believe not on me; 10Of righteousness, because I go to
my Father, and ye see me no more; 11Of judgment, because the prince of
this world is judged. 12I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye
cannot bear them now. 13Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he
will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but
whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things
to come. 14He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall
shew it unto you. 15All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore
said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 4And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that
they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the
Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. 5For John truly baptized
with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days
hence. 6When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying,
Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? 7And he
said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which
the Father hath put in his own power. 8But ye shall receive power, after
that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me
both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the
uttermost part of the earth. 16For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may
instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ. 13For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
14Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them
before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the
subverting of the hearers. 15Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a
workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of
truth. 16But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto
more ungodliness. 17And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is
Hymenaeus and Philetus; 18Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that
the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some. 3For the time will come when they will not endure sound
doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves
teachers, having itching ears; 4And they shall turn away their ears from
the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 14Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men,
that turn from the truth. 15Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto
them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind
and conscience is defiled. 16They profess that they know God; but in works
they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work
reprobate. 13But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for
ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in
yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. 15Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye
compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make
him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. 22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not
prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy
name done many wonderful works? 23And then will I profess unto them, I
never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. 7Which is not another; but there be some that trouble
you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8But though we, or an angel
from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have
preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9As we said before, so say I now
again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have
received, let him be accursed. 10For do I now persuade men, or God? or do
I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the
servant of Christ. 30He that is not with me is against me; and he that
gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. 40For he that is not against us is on our part.
23He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.
18Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have
heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists;
whereby we know that it is the last time. 19They went out from us, but
they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have
continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest
that they were not all of us. 1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits
whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the
world. 2Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth
that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3And every spirit that
confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and
this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should
come; and even now already is it in the world. 4Ye are of God, little
children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you,
than he that is in the world. 5They are of the world: therefore speak they
of the world, and the world heareth them. 6We are of God: he that knoweth
God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the
spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. 7For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not
that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an
antichrist. 4And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no
man deceive you. 5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and
shall deceive many. 23Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ,
or there; believe it not. 24For there shall arise false Christs, and false
prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it
were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. 25Behold, I have told
you before. 8And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall
come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not
therefore after them. 6For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall
deceive many. 8But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and
murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars,
shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:
which is the second death. 26Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy
presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. 27But he shall say, I tell
you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of
iniquity. 28There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall
see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of
God, and you yourselves thrust out. 11And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw
there a man which had not on a wedding garment: 12And he saith unto him,
Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was
speechless. 13Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot,
and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be
weeping and gnashing of teeth. 14For many are called, but few are chosen. 24Then he which had received the one talent came and
said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast
not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: 25And I was afraid,
and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is
thine. 26His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful
servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I
have not strawed: 27Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the
exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with
usury. 28Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which
hath ten talents. 29For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he
shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even
that which he hath. 30And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer
darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 41Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: 42For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 43I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. 44Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. 46And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
