Study: 6Jesus Christ's Millennial Kingdom: How Long is it? Recommendation:
Development.
It
is essential for answering heading’s question to search out the
Scriptures. First we must understand that One Day is with the Lord as A
Thousand Years, and A Thousand Years as One Day (2 Peter
3.7-12; Psalm 90.4). But, which
Day that is?; that Special Day is each believer’s Day
of Salvation, the believer receives from God Power to tread under foot
serpents and scorpions (which being interpreted is to overcome the devil
and his army) and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing by any means
hurt him (Luke 10.18-19;
Psalm 91.1-16; Jeremiah
30.10-11); in addition,
it is impossible that the devil deceives the Very Elect (Matthew 24.12-14
and Matthew 24.22-24).
John
(Revelation 20.1-3) wrote
that satan was bound A Thousand Years that should deceive the nations no more, which must be understood as satan
should deceive no more the Very Elect which the Lord Jesus Christ takes out
from every nation under heaven (Acts
10.34-35; Romans
8.14-30; Romans
9.15-16; Romans
10.12-16 ; Romans
11.7-10; 1 Corinthians
8.3; Proverbs 8.17;
Galatians 3.26-29 ;
Galatians 4.5-7). As we shall further see the Very Elect belong both to the Old and
New Testament. Now, Who did bind satan that should deceive no more the
Very Elect?. We may read that when a strong man armed (satan) keepeth his
palace, his goods are in peace; but when stronger than he (Jesus Christ)
shall come upon him, and overcome him, He takes him all his armour wherein
he trusted and spoils his goods (see Luke 10.18 ;
Luke 11.20-23;
Matthew 12.29). If we also read Mark
3.27-29, we can get more light about
it: “No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods,
except He will first bind the strong man; and then He will spoil his
house” (see John 12.31;
John
13.31 and John 16.11).
The
Lord Jesus Christ did bind satan to rescue all his Very Elect (see Job
19.29 and Job 40.19), and the Lord did it through his “Sword”, it is
to say his Holy Spirit (see James 2.19 and
James 4.7-10; Ephesians
6.16-18).
As
we did affirm above the Very Elect belong both to the Old and New
Testament; on this wise John wrote (Revelation
20.4): “…and they lived
and reigned with Christ A Thousand Years” (These are all of them which
abide beside the Lord outside this world); whereas in Revelation 20.5 we
may read: “…but the rest of the dead lived not again until the
Thousand Years were finished. This is the First Resurrection (or the Day
of Salvation); wherefore Paul did affirm: “To Day if ye will hear his
Voice, harden not your hearts” (Hebrews 3.15 and
Hebrews 4.7). Moreover:
“For He saith I have heard thee in a Time Accepted, and in the Day of
Salvation have I succoured (helped) thee: Behold Now is the Accepted Time,
Behold, Now is the Day of Salvation” (2 Corinthians
6.2). Do
you ask yourself how the rest of the dead live again?
Please,
read slowly Luke
15.11-32; Romans
6.1-14; 1 Corinthias 15.21-29 and
1
Corinthias 15.52-58. After the reading you have perceived that it is
essential to be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ: “Know ye not that
so many of us are baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his
death?”. Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death: that
like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the Glory of the Father,
even so we also should walk in Newness of Life”. For if we have been
planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the
likeness of his Resurrection” (Romans
6.3-5). This is the First
Resurrection as we may read in Revelation
20.5. If you didn’t understand
it, go on as follows: How
can be explained that the Lord Jesus Christ did promise us an entrance
into His Everlasting Kingdom?
(see 2 Peter
1.11).
Jesus
Christ being God Himself is Eternal (1 Johm
5.20; Isaiah 9.6; Hebrews
13.8; Revelation
11.15) therefore His Kingdom is Eternal too, so It endures
throughout all generations (Ephesians
1.19-21; Ephesians 2.5-6 and
Ephesians 2.10; Romans
5.17-18). While in the Book of Psalms it is written: “The
Lord sitteth upon the flood, yea the Lord sitteth King for Ever” (29.10), and “Thy Kingdom is an Everlasting Kingdom; and thy dominion
endureth throughout all generations” (145.13). As regards generations, we
may read: “The Lord shall Reing for Ever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all
generations. Praise ye the Lord” (Psalm
146.10; see also Revelation
11.15; Exodus 15.18;
Jeremiah 10.10; Zechariah
14.9).
The
Holy Word of the Lord gives us a full assurance that it is impossible a
Jesus Christ’s millennial reing, like as it is understood by many
people; because Jesus Christ both Lives and Reings for Evermore (Revelation
1.17-18; Revelation
2.8). Jesus
Christ shall appear the Second Time to Save them which look for Him
(see Hebrews 9.28).
Paul
did write about this matter to the Christians of Thessalonica: “…
seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them
that trouble you; and to you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord
Jesus Christ shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, in
flaming fire taking Vengeance on them that know not God, and that Obey
Not the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with
everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the Glory of his Power; when He shall
come to be Glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that
believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that Day” (2
Thessalonians 1.5-10; see also 2 Peter
3.7-12; Revelation
20.9; Matthew 22.7;
1 Peter 4.17-19; 2 Thessalonians
2.11-12): From
the former we may plainly understand that when the Lord Jesus Christ comes
back He shall bring all Believers unto Everlasting Life (Romans
8.1; Ezekiel
36.24-38; Jeremiah
29.12-14), whereas He shall bring all unbelievers unto
Everlasting Punishment (Matthew
25.31-46; Matthew 24.13-14 and
Matthew 21.22; 2 Thessalonians
2.13-17; Ezekiel
20.38-40; Ezekiel
28.15-19; Jeremiah
51.58; Jeremiah
51.64;
Ezekiel 38.16-23). “For the Lord Himself shall descend
from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the
trump of God: and the Dead in Christ shall rise first, then We which are
alive and remain shall be changed and caught up together with them in the
clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord
(see 1 Thessalonians 4.16-17 and
1 Corinthians
15.51-58). Please, pay much
attention: It shall only happen to all of us which are in Jesus Christ;
and how long shall we be with the Lord?, For Evermore, and not for a
period of one Thousand Years. Let us remember that Jesus Christ’s
Kingdom is Everlasting; but if you didn’t understand yet, go further and
see Hebrews 9.27-28: “And as it is appointed
unto men Once to Die, and
after this the Judgment and the Second Death (see Revelation 20.6 and
Revelation 20.14-15). So Christ was Once offered to bear the sins of many
; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the Second Time Without
sin unto Salvation” (see also Ephesians
2.1-10). As you may read, it is
written that Christ shall appear the Second Time to Save them which look
for Him and to establish not a Kingdom for a period of One Thousand Years.
Think
yourself about the following: “It is impossible for those who were Once
Enlightened and fall again, to be renew unto Repentance” (see Hebrews
6.4-6). Further, Why should the Lord establish a Kingdom for One Thousand
Years?.
Most
of unlearned and unstable (2 Peter
3.16) think that there shall be a New
Opportunity for Repentance to all them which didn’t do it before the
Second Jesus Christ’s coming. Such a thought has no Biblical
foundation, because as Paul did affirm, Christ was offered Once for all,
and He shall come the Second Time Without Sin (see Hebrews
9.27-28;
Hebrews 10.10 and Hebrews
10.1-39) To Save them that look for Him. “For it is impossible for those
who were Once Enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly Gift, and were
made partakers of the Holy Ghost, and have tasted the good Word of God, and
the Powers of world (age) to come, if they shall fall away, to Renew
(revive) them again unto Repentance, seeing they hang to themselves the
Son of God afresh and put Him to an Open Shame. For the earth which
drinketh in the rain that come oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs,
suitable for them by whom it is dressed receiveth Blessing from God. But
that which bearth thorns and briers is Rejected, and it is nigh unto
Cursing, whose End in to be Burned” (see Hebrews 6.4-8 and
Hebrews 4.1-7; Revelation
6.11; Matthew 25.41 and
Matthew 25.46). For, “But the
heavens and the earth, which are Now, by the same Word are Kept in store,
reserved unto Fire against the Day of Judgment and perdition of ungodly
men” (2 Peter 3.7; see also
John 3.16-18; John
3.36; John 5.29 and
John 12.48-50; Luke
11.31-32; Psalm
41.1-2). Conclusion:
a) The Lord Jesus Christ Lives and Reings for Evermore and not for a period of One Thousand Years (see Ephessians 1.21 and Hebrews 13.8). b)
It is essential Bloodshed for Forgiveness of sins (Hebrews
9.11-28),
otherwise there is no remission. The Lord Jesus Christ Gave Himself
Once For All; so whosoever that didn’t repent while it is present
the Accepted Time or Day of Salvation; which is Right Now, neither has
been baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ nor has endured until the
end of his physical life, or until the Second Coming of the Lord, in
Jesus Christ’s Gospel, shall receive the same Punishment as satan
and all his followers (wicked men). (see Revelation 20.10 and
Revelation 20.13-15; Matthew
10.22; Hebrews
10.26-31). A-men and
A-men.
